YouTube has recently developed an algorithm to automate the detection of videos they think advertisers would wish to avoid. There’s a lot of garbage on YT and I imagine this is an endless battle for them. However, their net has been spread pretty wide to include a long list of keywords employed to ensure no one gets hurt feelings browsing videos. The above video is one such example.
I understand if advertisers are pro-gay, pro-abortion, pro-not-christian, they’re most certainly not going to want to advertise on my channel. The dilemma however is that they are not given the choice. YouTube makes that choice for them. Perhaps this will change in the future. One can only hope.
The revenue generated from our channel is trivial, but does help offset the cost to host it and maintain it.
